*The Camino de Santiago is the name of any of the pilgrimage routes to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. After walking camino in spain , i went to porto for having a break time in portugal.
And then, i fell in love with its scenery, people, colors and so on. I decided to capture its beauty and stay more than i expected. Hope you enjoy my video.

다양하고 복잡한 도시 뉴욕에 거주한지 벌써 3개월이 다 되어갑니다.
수많은 인종과 하늘을 가리는 고층빌딩, 정신없는 뉴욕을 경험하면서 제 자신에 대해서는 생각할 겨를이 없었던 것 같았습니다.

며칠 전 뉴욕거리를 정처없이 돌아다니면서 촬영을 했습니다.
미치도록 화려함과 동시에 공허함도 존재하는 도시.
너무도 빨리 변해서 도저히 뭐라 규정할 수 없는 도시.
내 걸음걸이를 빠르게 만들어 버린 이 도시. 뉴욕
그 속에서 '나는 어디 있는지' 물어봐야 할 것 같았습니다.

I just wandered aimlessly around the streets. and I asked myself where i am and who i am in the complex city life. Also, I tried to look at many characters of new york city such as splendor, dirtiness, emptiness, people's life and so on.

I was inspired by that essay and I decided to leave somewhere for thinking about life.

햇빛 비치는 길을 걷는 것과 그늘진 길을 걷는 것,
어느 길을 좋아하지?
내가 한 사랑이 그랬다.
햇빛 비치는 길과 그늘진 길. 늘, 두 길 가운데
어느 길을 걸을까 망설이고 또 힘들어했다.

두 길 다 사랑은 사랑이었는데, 두 길 다 내 길이었는데
왜 그걸 두고 다른 한쪽 눈치를 보면서 미안해하고 안절부절못했을까?

지금 당장 먹고 싶은 것이 레몬인지 오렌지인지 그걸 모르겠을 때
맛이 조금 아쉬운데
소금을 넣어야 할지 설탕을 넣어야 할지 모르겠을 때
어젠 그게 분명히 좋았는데, 오늘은 그게 정말로 까닭 없이 싫을 때
기껏 잘 다려놓기까지 한 옷을,
빨랫감이라고 생각하고 세탁기에 넣고 빨고 있을 때

이렇게 손을 쓰려야 쓸 수 없는
난감한 상황이 오면 떠나는 거다..

Walking on the sunny path or walking on the shady path,
Which one do I prefer?
That’s how I understood love.
The sunny path or the shady one. 
Always between the two hesitating which one to take with a conflicting mind.
I never considered them compatible.
Love was in both paths, both paths were mine to take.
But why did I feel guilty and anxious seeing how the wind blows on the other side?

Whenever you hesitate between eating a lemon or an orange
Whenever the taste is bland
but you hesitate between salt and sugar
When one thing you used to like becomes now unlikable for no apparent reason
When the clothes that were ironed 
are mistaken for dirty washing and put in the washing machine

When you’re faced with such hopeless situations
It’s time to move on and leave

I went to the mountain in south korea. It was almost the end of autumn.
I tried to capture the beauty of the end of autumn and fog in the mountain.

I stayed in hong kong airport for 4hours to get new york. It was short time but memorable.

목적지의 공항에 도착했다.

공항은 우리가 딛고 사는 땅에서는 쉽게 맡을 수 없는 향기를 품고 있다. 
그 공간을 가득 채우고 있는 사람들의 감정과 이야기들 때문에라도 더 그렇다.

나도 공항에 나가 한참을 앉아 있다가 돌아오곤 한다. 
차가운 건축 소재로 지어진 공간을 데우는 은은한 불빛,
가방에 달린 작은 바퀴 구르는 소리, 
웃음소리 섞인 통화 내용.

나도 가끔은 이런 것들이 그립기 때문이다.
내가 공항에 나가 앉아 있는 것은 누군가와 같이 있어서 채워지는 것이 아닌 
혼자서 채워나가는 방식일 것이다.

내가 타지 않아도 되는 비행기의 시간표들, 
단정히 제복을 입은 사람들,
떠나는 사람과 남겨지는 사람…

몰디브, 마다카스카르, 파라과이…
한 번도 가보지 못한 아름다운 도착지의 온도들.

그곳으로 가기 위해선 약간의 행복감만 준비하면 된다. 
상상만으로 누군가를 만날 수도 있고 
사랑할 수도 있다. 
그렇게 만난 그 사람과 헤어질 수도 있다.

가난하고 쓸쓸한 마음에 눈이 내리게 하는 곳, 
아무것도 없는 빈 상자에 엄청난 선물을 담아 오는 곳, 
그 축제는 비행기가 떠나고 도착하는 공항이라서 가능하다.

I just arrived at the airport of my final destination

Here, I smell this unique scent that I can't find anywhere else but only at the airport
This scent is interwoven with stories and feelings of people who are leaving and being left

from time to time, I come here and stay for a long time
surrounded by soft dim light warming up the cold metal building
sound of rolling wheels
and conversation over the phone mixed with laughter.

Sometimes, I miss these things.
Sitting alone at the airport, I can be filled with them by myself, not with somebody else.

Flights that I don't need to take, 
staff in neat uniforms
people leaving and being left

maldive Madagascar and Paraguy
the warm breeze in those beautiful places that I've never been

I can get to these places by simply having a little bit of excitement.
In my imagination, I can meet someone, fall in love, and may end up in different paths.

Where it snows in my hollow mind
where endless free gifts fill up an empty box
This everyday festival is held at the airport where flights depart and arrive.
